NYG @ NE – NE
Unsurprisingly, the Patriots won. Surprisingly, the Giants were able to get two touchdowns in the second quarter. But the Patriots are stronger in the second half, and they took off beating the Giants 35-14.
CAR @ TB – CAR
Playing across the pond in London, Carolina was a force to be reckoned with. They consistently scored each quarter, and ultimately, they ended with 37 to 26.
WAS @ MIA – WAS
One of these teams was bound for a win. And Washington came out with the W. Both teams held their own, but WAS managed to hold of MIA by one point.
NO @ JAX – NO
Ending with a one possession game, NO was the only team in this game to make a touchdown. 2 field goals and one touchdown led the team to triumph over MIA’s two field goals.
CIN @ BAL – BAL
The Bengals entered this week with zero wins and Baltimore had a modest 3-2 record. So, it was expected for Baltimore to win. However, we thought the Ravens would win by more than 6 points. CIN clearly held them back but not well enough to win.
SEA @ CLE – SEA
CLE steadily held the lead during the first half, only to have SEA score two touchdowns in the second half leaving CLE trailing by 4.
PHI @ MIN – MIN
While PHI isn’t terrible, they aren’t great. After winning the Super Bowl, it seems they have gone down in skill. MIN won 38-20.
HOU @ KC – HOU
We were probably one of the few to predict HOU would defeat KC. Given their better defense, HOU was able to hold back KC. KC’s defense isn’t great, maybe it’s decent, but they normally allow the other team to score. And they certainly did on Sunday. 31-24.
ATL @ ARI – ARI
Let’s face it, ATL isn’t good. ARI isn’t good. But ARI is slightly better than ATL. And let’s emphasis “slightly.” ARI won by one point in the 33-34 game.
SF @ LAR – SF
Most Rams fans would probably have predicted Rams winning. They are a solid team. But with so many injured players, their strength weakened. The undefeated SF hit them where it hurt with a 20 -7 game.
TEN @ DEN – DEN
Home field advantage? Desperate for another win? Whatever the reason, DEN held out the Titans with a 0-16. DEN had a bumpy start, but it looks like they’re catching up.
DAL @ NYJ –
The Jets won by two points. 22-24. NYJ seemed to be burying DAL in the first half, however, DAL made a comeback that made NYJ nervous but not nervous enough. NYJ finally got their first win of the season.
PIT @ LAC – PIT
PIT dominated for the first three quarters, and LAC made an impress comeback in the fourth quarter with making all their 17 points. But PIT set up a nice cushion in the beginning three quarters of the game with 24 points. A good comeback, but a better lead.
DET @ GB – GB
The last few minutes of the game were intense. GB was catching up. They were down by two points with a 22-20 DET. And GB managed to squeeze in a twenty-something yard field goal, securing their win at 23-22 GB.
