New York Jets or Titans of New York

Even though they are the “New York Jets,” they are headquartered in Florham, New Jersey.

Originally, they were the “Titans of New York,” and they joined the NFL during the merger in 1970. The name was changed in 1963.

They were the first AFL team to beat an NFL team in the AFL-NFL World Championship Game.

The Jets have appeared in 14 playoffs: 1968, 1969, 1981, 1982, 1985, 1986, 1991, 1998, 2001, 2002, 2004, 2006, 2009, and 2010.

Four home stadiums. Since their founding, they’ve had four home stadiums: Polo Grounds, Shea Stadium, Giants Stadium, and now MetLife Stadium, which they currently share with the New York Giants.

The cheerleaders are called the “Jets Flag Crew” and was established 12 years ago in 2006.

In four of the last five seasons, they’ve lost at least 11 games. In 2014, 4 – 12; 2015: 10 – 6; 2016: 5 – 11; 2017: 5 – 11; 2018: 4 – 12.
